Through The Darkness

I could lay
Beside you forever
Feeling the rise and fall
Of your chest
And listen to your heart
Lulling me to sleep
As the moonlight dances
Over your face

A peaceful slumber
Unaffected by the shadows
Dawning on my heart
A desolate world
Of unforgiveness
And sharp reflections
Of yesterday tears

Yet there you are
The rose rising
From the cracks
Wilted and parched
For all I can’t give you

I know, I’m undeserving
Of your soft touch
And tender love
But I can’t let go
And I can’t move forward

The storm clouds
Are brewing ahead
And I’m left pleading
For the answer
As I hold you closer…

Your breath in my hair
Your hand gently upon my face
I know that I am here
Feeling

And as the clouds
Grow darker
And my heart more heavy
You’re my only
Ray of light
My one piece of sunshine
Weathering out the storm
Even if it’s just for
Today

Wow... like the scene here... seems like you're really depending on this person, we've all been here before... also liked the word usage.. really deep poem of longing.. I wonder if this person knows how you feel about them...
