The things you thought were to be solid suddenly come undone,
They change and reform into something else.
If not changing, they forever disappear from reality.
The beauty of something that most cannot understand,
The simple enjoyment of a group that is deemed socially unfit,
They lost something special, something that gave most hope.
This one place, a haven for those who loved the alternative, died.
The member of the elite organization must find new homes,
To create, publish, and live their lives off of.
It was a hard thing for both members of the musical foundation,
And those who loved the bands that it sponsored.
A death that I’m sure will be echoed throughout the world
Of the underground that it once received love from.
No one is certain what will become of the individuals that thrived
On this Gothic music kingdom, nor the bands that once called it home.
The mainstream goes unnoticed of it,
Probably for the better I’m certain.
The last thing we of the shadows want,
Is another bad story of how “Goth is never right.”

Author notes
the story behind this is that a huge gothic music labeled is rumored to be nonexistant anymore. how does this affect me personally? almost every american gothic band that i like is from this company and i fear for their artistic copyrights and what not.
also it has a personal tie in, the president of my local poetry club is stepping down, and that means there might not be anymore poetry outlet for me in a shitty town i live in. (yeah NO culture here... other than hunting, fishing, and mudding).
what do you think?

Yes the best this town can do for creative expression is dolphine statues!!! The southern way is to shoot it,stuff it or marry it!!! The up side to this town is the beaches.
