Love is Strange

She takes her lovers as they are
With all their flaws and sneers
And all their petty irritations
Here snoring next to her
A killer on the loose
Sleepy drool runs down his cheek
Carnage swimming in his dreams
Armed and dangerous.

God help her
She loves him so,
This monster in her bed.

Author notes

Addiction to rough trade, sick passions and an unrequited love for leather jackets and switchblade knives.

A lot of girls seem to be attracted to bad boys, maybe I should shave my head and get a few tattoos. Than maybe I'll have some luck in the lady department. Your poem reminds me of a girl I knew who chased after bad boys. It could do with some revising for sure to give it more edginess. Good luck in contest.

I really like this, it had a very strong beginning. Although there was a slow middle the end was very well written as well, with some work the middle could work out better but it is still pretty fantastic.

Your author's note I loved. very catchy!
