Goodbye is such a lieing word
where's the good in what I've heard
nothing great in a farewell wish
the person leaving your going to miss.
Goodbye leaves such a hollow sound
when it leaves behind a frown
Sad the word should surely be
If it means your leaving me.
Goodbye seems much to long
if it's you that will be gone
last words left lingering behind
Replaying forever in my mind
No matter where or how long you go
there's something you should always know
I will not say "Goodbye my friend!"
I'm saveing it... till we meet again.

this is such a touching poem, and i appreciate the authors notes. Goodbye is a sad word, and i like how you pointed out, where's the good in it. I never really thought about the word that way.
