February, a tiny girl with big, round orbs of light
For eyes
Soft blond hair tied with pink ribbons swept up for my
Pleasure
Sits alone, small, on a bench, and calls me out to play
With her
I don't respond and she gets up, dress spinning in the
Wind
She scuffs her black Mary Janes on the walk and stars straight
At me
I look at her and suddenly, she flies and lands on me from
...where?
The tiny girl stirs, glancing up, her cheeks dyed, flushed with
Deepest red
But she is smiling, lighting up the whole sky with her
Sun
She gets off me and I get up, she helps me brush off
My clothes
But there's a heart, a chocolate kiss, left on my shirt and
Neck
"Sweet valentine, please think of me. I adore you so,"
She said
And February then winked at me, and with a wave, walked
Off.

I'm reading a book of teenage poetry where there's an activity to keep a writing journal. One of the prompts for getting started was to take the month you were born in and make it a person. What would that person do? Well, here's what my screwed up imagination came up with! Hope it makes sense, and that you like it!

Wow. This is good. Taking the month you were born in and making it a person... very creative idea. This is wonderful. I really like this and I can picture this girl perfectly. The imagery is very good. Keep writing, sis! Love ya!
