Blink Blink
Right on the Brink
Of a fast moving dream
Sure to leave you with cream
Outside the window
Ground gleaming with snow
In bare skin, you ran around
Within memories of dreams, drowned
The bitter cold nipping flesh
The word Naked reminds me of mesh
Promised to be worn
Unless my heart is torn
Torn is ripped out and bleeding
From kind words misleading
Pained blood runs red
Surely a day to dread
A day not to come, though
For you love me so
Love me till I'm red
Snuggled up in my bed
I'll wake and love you anew
Knowing you love me too
In this cold wintry December
I'll be sure to remember
Red love in the night
Brings lovers delight
Red love in the morning
Brings lovers a warning
