Dancing Fingers

Fingers Dancing,
Like maidens in dresses waltzing.
Music, music,
Intertwining with your soul.
Softly now, decrescendo.
Like magic, the notes emerge,
Each one holding a piece
Of a puzzle that
Slowly, slowly
Becomes a part of you.
Don't stop.
How will it end?
Symphonies and melodies,
Sounds of love,
Sounds of a DREAM.
With every key these fingers strike
More dreams are formed.
Suddenly,
CRESCENDO!
Something's happening!
This dream is turning into
A nightmare!
Surprise!
New stories are being told.
That's what music is:

A story to be told.

    Just so

To anyone who loves music (I write with Glenn Gould's piano on earphones) this makes perfect sense.
I read it a second time because I love music too.

If you revise, do you plan to add punctuation?
Not saying you must, because a lot of people write this way, but if you want to draw attention to something, end-punctuation can help emphasize it merely by pausing on an end-word. (You do have some.)
I too was taught to put a traditional capital to begin every line, since it was required of poetry.
Times have changed, and since endline punctuation --which also was traditionally required-- has gone, why do you need beginning capitals when they add no meaning?

There again meaning is lost. A capital where a sentence begins in midline or anywhere it makes sense to start a new sentence, is worth trying.

    All my best,
    Terry

      Hi Terry,
I just read this poem over and decided to add periods, I think your right, it actually does make a difference. (I will go and revise right now).
      Thanks for the help,
      Manoura

        It does indeed.

Gives the reader an excuse to pause and consider the full meaning.
Thank you for telling me this.

        Terry
