Death's Prize Life's Unpride

A dark hole has opened in my heart
Nothing to do except depart
Nothing to say
Just stay away.

I am not worthy
Of such a friend
I know it now
This is the end.

Red cloth shall drape me
In white tiled walls
And death will have
Its own reward.

It shall kiss my lips
So softly, yes
And make sure that
I’m properly dressed
In red.

I’m sorry
I’m crying
There’s nothing to do
All I can think to say
Is sorry to you.

But that’s not worth anything too…

Author notes

Not much, just basically a reply to Kiyo's poem.

The last verse (NOT the last line) is for Zeke though.
