Close the back gate and head to the museum.
Walk along the street and grab the trash:
Beer bottles, pop cans, cigarett boxes, what in the world is this?
Two handfuls of this stuff, 'cause people are to lazy to put it where it belongs.
Trash can, thank you, i have free hands again.
Continue walking.
Hear the birds sing and the crickets chirp and the cars zoom by.
Smell the flowers, fresh cut grass, and exhaust fumes.
See the clouds, trees, and zooming colors.
The fence! I see it!
I finally made it to the museum,
The place that holds the only true nature thats left.
The best place on earth,
the park.

It seems a little scary for us that a park could be likened to a nature museum. For folks who rarely escape from cramped and/or littered city streets, office bldgs and multi-unit residences a city park might indeed seem a museum. I suppose it's only a matter of time before they start requesting donations or a fee as the price of admission.
"Hear the birds sing and the crickets chirp and the cars zoom by.
Smell the flowers, fresh cut grass, and exhaust fumes.
See the clouds, trees, and zooming colors."
I like the juxtaposition in these lines of nature's presence with air, sound and sight pollution in close proximity. Nature is not obliterated, but she is made difficult to appreciate and enjoy.

Indeed, I do feel the same. I used to run along the highway by my parents house, and I oftentimes contemplated bringing a trash bag with me because its the only way I could've picked up all the disgusting things I encountered. It would have been very detrimental to the exercise process because I also would have never been able to even reach a jog from stopping so frequently!!
I like the narrative style of this and the conclusion you've drawn from an everyday event. Thank you for your opinion of what nature is, also.
Take care,
Kelsey-Jo
