As we pray for Edna's health to return
let us also say a prayer for Hugh as well.
That he may have the strength to cope
until Edna has the operation on her foot.
A loving Husband and carer with a heart
of gold, who will do anything to ease her pain
without any thought for himself.
So Hugh I salute you for the gentle man you are;
I pray with all my heart that life gets better soon
for both you and Edna so you may rest once more.
So know that Heath and I are here for both of you.

Author notes
Heath and I visited Hugh and Edna and it's wonderful to watch the way he cares for her
with all the love he can give and if he could he would take away her pain.
So hat's off to Hugh for being the kind caring man he is.
Love Hine and Heath.

Ah, I think this may be the only poem that focuses mainly on Hugh, and that was nice of you to remember him in this tribute. I will share your best wishes. He's one of the few who doesn't mind my poor humor, a rare gem indeed.

Amen
Beautifully done Hine, and it needed to be said.

Thanks Margaret, it's not perfect but I only had a limited time to write it and as you said "It needed to be said" As the carer suffers as much as the patient does.

Dear Hine,
AAWWWW! Thankyou - what else can I say, except that's what husbands are for?
"For richer, for poorer, for better or worse...."
Applause and thanks, love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

Dear Babe, I'm glad you didn't rouse on me for posting it as I feel you do a wonderful job caring for our Queen and you deserve some praise and a prayer for you.
