My Mother

Your Life...a foundation of Solid Rock,
Your Face...a vision graced by God,
Your Mouth...spoke words of love and beauty,
Your Aura...a splendid rainbow of Dancing colours,
Your Love...has been spread through the universe,
Your Touch...will carry forth generations to come,
Your Children...a testament of who you were,
Memories of you...engraved in our souls for all eternity'
You will always be my mother, my rock, the angel on my shoulder.
You are...alive within my soul, I love you.

This was so beautiful, tender, loving and most of all heart-warming. It makes me wish I could feel this way about my mother, but alas she has a long way to go in my eyes, for she hasn't always been what a mother should be. But this... this is exactly what a mother should be. And this was a fantastic tribute to someone you love dearly.

a good poem, ah yes our mothers, most of us love them, whether alive or dead, though some do not, one of my friends has not seen his mother for years and years and has no intention of ever doing so. my mum lives around the corner, it is her seventy third birthday this coming monday. i have bought her a new wooden leg.

She performed a very good job and she would be proud of you. How are things way down in South Africa? Best Wishes Daughter! I thought I would add a second comment to wish you a happy Mother's Day!

    You've come a long way

You can now take simple verse and make something sublime and great out of it. Most of your work is personal and that is not a bad thing, it is just you. You must write of what is most compelling in your world and family is that subject. May your days grow bright and your light stay shining. Share your family experience with all of us and we will be closer to you. I need no interpretation as I have loved you from the first and watched your writing grow. RC
