I discovered Allpoetry and I felt I had finally found home
A place where I finally fit; was appreciated, and no longer alone
I wrote words that I felt in my heart from childhood to now
No longer criticized for fun or just to put me down
Constructive criticism I can take for it helps one to grow
Even easier to accept from people who are in the know
Fellow poets like I desired to be; all ages, races, genders, nationalities
Wanting to learn and excel to do their very best just like me
Here I was accepted where people wanted to see what I could do
My very first effort was met with such kindness when I didn’t have a clue
Her words of encouragement touched my heart so all I could do was gawk
The first person that ever responded to my work was you “Tawk”
You visited me quite often as now many others tend to do
At first I was kind of nervous I could only say thank you
Thinking how far I’ve come since those early days puts me in a daze
I often visit your Authors Page and it’s so beautiful I’m really amazed
“Tawk” your family is represented in all their picturesque glory
The love for your family is the greatest part of your wonderful story
Theirs sweet baby Jasmine a little doll, Terry, George, Josh and Daniel four handsome sons
Let us not forget the love of your life your husband Jason who brought back to you the sun
I’m sure you all can agree with me that “Tawk” Theresa is the nurturing kind
As an officer of AP she welcomes all with the gentleness of a mothers mind
Through sickness or health she never changes thinking of others before herself
Her talent alone is worth knowing who she is; her words has such richness and wealth
At AP you’re loved for the encouragement and devotion you give to all within
“Tawk” I’ll never forget way back when; and I’ll think of you always as my true friend
