One Dozen Red Roses

One dozen red roses,
one little glass vase,
on the table it sits,
wasting away its days.
Two days in waiting,
slowly they begin to die,
each pedal that falls,
so pallid and dry.
One more day passes,
5 flowers are gone,
1 more on its way,
part of only death's pawn.
3 days pass by,
finally only one lives,
but four of its pedals remain,
and little hope it can give.
One by one they fall,
floating gracefully in the air,
12 stems and one vase,
but no one seems to care.
One dozen red roses,
one little glass vase.
on the table it sits,
wasting away its days.

please tell me what you think

    CUTE

I really like it. It's a really sweet and sad poem. I really liked this:
    Two days in waiting,
    slowly they begin to die,
    each pedal that falls,
    so pallid and dry.

    Nice wording! Great job reecie!
