All For You

I'm not quite sure how to put this,
And I apologize if it doesn't really rhyme
But I'll try to make it flow as best as I can,
And I'll try not to take up too much of your time.

I'm not going to ask questions right now
Because I know you probably won't respond.
I just want to let you know the good things I never say,
The words I've since owed you for so long.

I always thought you were trustworthy,
And I honestly believe everything you say.
I just don't always want to, but I still do;
And you make me want to never go away.

You're a beautiful person, inside and out,
And you don't really hurt more than you heal.
I just get in the way and collect a lot of it;
But there's more goodness in you, and it's completely real.

I'm proud of you and how hard you try for people,
As a friend you're truly more than I deserve.
I'm just selfish, sometimes jealous-
Still, I can't ever forget just how much you're worth.

I don't mean to care so much for you,
But I guess that's just the way life goes.
You're my best friend, when it comes down to it,
And I love you more than you'll ever know.

I don't know if it's still love love, or just friend love now,
Because sometimes it still goes back every now and then.
But the past is the past, memories can only be replayed,
And you'll still always be in my heart, so very dear to me, my friend.

Excuse me for writing this, or sounding cheesy or lame,
But I always did say you were my muse.
I try so hard to make myself better, to fix all that I am,
But remember one thing, Darling -it's all for you.
