Sunset's

Pallets of color's spew forth,
upon a blank canvas inspiring,
an inovational display
of magnificent brush strokes,
birthing amazement.

I liked your take on the prompt, the imagery you used made it unique in its own way. I loved the this entire piece especially the first line and last line. great strong beginning and ending.

how many times have i heard a sunset compared to painting? A trillion times.

But don't get me wrong, this is well written--you obviously have talent--but the idea is a little tired in my opinion.

The best metaphor in this is the last one, "birthing amazement"--that one paints a great image and I immediately see the sun crowning over the horizon.

Beautifully done. This definitely sets an artis's image to the mind of even the most plain of thoughts. Wonderful.

    Good luck in the contest.
