Shimmering in hazy moondust,
Creatures of the night
Deviously lie in wait.
The lone wolf,
A truly majestic wonder
Howls to a gleaming crescent.
Power and magic
Bejewel the lonely animal.
Haunting wails diminish
To a nearly silent whine
As the faintest of rays
Gleam through the tangle of branches
That line the forest ceiling.
Her diamond coat dazzles brilliantly
To the point of blindness,
And that is when her transformation is complete.
