My purpose in life is very simple

My purpose in life is very simple,
it is to make people smile,
to chase away the fear of others,
and let the sun shine through the rain.

My purpose in life is very simple,
I'll guarantee it's true,
for if you don't believe me,
then just leave me be,
for I can manage on my own.

My purpose in life might not make sense to you,
for you see it's meant for me.
I've told you all I can for now,
the rest.....

You'll have to wait and see!

Ah, now the explanation. I have to be honest... I could've read the title of this poem and got what it was all about. Not the most creative I've seen in this contest. I think it is rather cute how you put it: your purpose is meant for you. And I understand. But as the reader (and as the judge of this contest) I can't help but feel a little cheated at the end of this. I am on my way to your next entry and am looking forward to reading your personal favorite. Cheers, Scion

I love your ending line! It really drives the poem home. An awesome job, and cleverly worded indeed! Bravo! Hugs to you, Grandniem
