Waves of Love's Abundance

O Love,
    thy essence traverses
    across unending expanses,
seeping into hearts the world over.

Let thy waves crash
    upon unsuspecting lovers,
    laying waste
to hatred's weapons ~
    unruly tongues,

    prejudices, slander,
and other such evils born of man's sin.

Come, O Love,
embrace us with thy waters ~
    keep us safe from harm,
and let us drift blissfully upon thine ocean
    forever.

this is an amazing piece that you've written. Your words have a way of capturing my attention, and never letting it go. I really love the last stanza, I love the whole poem but the third stanza hit me the hardest. Your words are heard loud and clear and the message this piece carries is profound.

Brilliant take on the prompt & with your poem

    good luck
