Why is it that every single time
that I try and talk with you
I can't seem to get the words
out of my mouth.
The words are there
I open my mouth
I feel the words coming
then whammy
it stops before exiting
my mouth.
Then I feel my face heat up.
All red
and I try and talk.
Nothing that makes any sense
comes out.
Which makes me even more
embarassed.
You however,
love of my life.
Take pity on this old fool
and reach out to me
place your wonderfully warm arms
around me
and kiss me
like no one has ever kissed me before.
I may be tongue tied
when I talk to you
but you can guarantee
that I am not lip locked.
I cherish those lips of yours
with every ounce of my being.
I may not be able to say
I love you
but I can definitely make you feel
my love.

good premise of a love struck person despite their inadequacy to vocalise the attraction for another it was sensed and love still built its bridge between the two. poem could benefit from a little tweaking but the concept shines through reasonably well.
