Be true to me my Queen and I shall be
Your knight as brave as seen in days of yore
See where your knight has been across the sea
For I have seen colleens worth fighting for
I bow before the steel that's in your eye
Show me that all is real that's put on show
By all that I can feel I'll not pass by
Know that I'll not reveal that which I know
Where I have lived we know the crown you wear
Bright Queen would you bestow your honour bright
Fair maiden would you show me all that's fair
Write me a verse as though that were the rite
You have to hear me make this pledge to you
True love will never break from one that's true
Author notes
A proposal to the Queen of Form in her own form, a shadow sonnet, internally rhymed, of course.

Not bad Jeff, not bad!

How delightful is this. Like a fantasy come to life. it looks like something you would find at the end of a rainbow or tumbling off the strings of an old Irish harp. Fantastic.

I feel so stupid reading something as majestic as this. And it is majestic in my opinion.
I bow before the steel that's in your eye
Show me that all is real that's put on show
By all that I can feel I'll not pass by
Know that I'll not reveal that which I know
Thats incredible!

This poet seems to have lots of inside information for a newbie. Hmmmm. I like the background. It is a shadow sonnet. It has internal rhyme. I like it. Good luck.

The fame of Amera Eileithyia is great amongst elves. She is known and loved across all lands on both sides of the seas, curved and straight.

Ok! Now comes a guy with an elfin name who writes me a poem in my own Shadow Sonnet form. What am I to think? Could we possibly spend endless evenings whispering elfin love poems to each other? Would he protect my honor with his magic sword? This will take some serious consideration.
Love,
Amera

My sword and honour would defend you against all at all times. As AP Wife or simply as a lady.
