Ken and Barbie grew up together,
and even were high school lovers,
Both their families had money,
and neither had sisters nor brothers.
So they were catered and pampered ,
a life of unlimited pleasure and joy.
Barbie was always his pretty lover girl,
and he was her handsome lover boy.
Such a beautiful story told over and over,
of a life we wish we had somehow.
But reality sets in no matter who you are,
and just take a look at them now.

Good take on the prompt...LMAO

This is a great write, and sprinkled in the words of humor are a true, powerful, important message.
Best of luck in the contest. (There were a couple of spelling errors "they're" in line 3, and "matter" in line 11.)

Barbie And Ken Botox
You are a riot my friend. Your words are funny but oh so true. We are all going to get old even the Barbies and Kens of the world. This is definitly a winner.

Thanks for the laugh!!!
