Omenous Warning

In mounting hours to hallows pentacle,
Spins odd mysterious weaves diabolical.
Manifest of dark powers in swirling breeze,
Sending shivers and chills of vague unease.

Anniversary ascent to the bewitching hour,
Witches cauldrons boil in darkest power.
Phantoms flying high in agony's torment,
Brought back for one night to circumvent.

The dead shall rise, move amongst the living.
Strange knocks abound,have no misgivings!
All things are possible in midnight's stroke,
Zombies,ghouls,mysterious mists and ghost.

Step sprite in frightful costumes my brethren,
Be latched up tight by midnight's sake of heaven.
The bewitching hour draws close beating drums,
Something frightfully wicked this way comes!

I am honored and thank you so much for the gold. Halloween/Samhain, is my favorite holiday. Maybe my date of birth being so close to it effects me more than others. And my interest in the occult I'm sure heightens my interest too.Thank you once again and congrads to all who've spun webs of intrigue in verse around the holiday as well.

    "by midnight's sake of heaven"...
    this verse is cast.
You weave a darkness that shivers with
anticipation of the unknown. I like that
you make us aware: The unknown does not
have to be evil to be enticing and a bit foreboding.
