If whence upon I go, you follow thee,
acceptance is far more than death can name
my dear, if I should die, then memory
be only from the solitude you claim.
Contained in weariness I offer more,
than love has somehow shown while we're alive
content to rest assure thee once before,
that death has promised both, we shall survive.
Content to clutch the honour we have had,
in retrospect, in low times as in high
torment may be by issue very sad,
yet all I say is this it's not goodbye!
For thy the kingdom of the soul is thine,
more worthy than the hopes our lives design.

Absolute beauty here in contemplating separation, I love your inspiring conclution-
"For thy the kingdom of the soul is thine,
more worthy than the hopes our lives design."

Outstanding
This poem has excellent flow and is well-written with good use of rhyme. I liked the slightly spiritual content and the way you developed your ideas. Best of luck in the contest.
