Sonnets of Longing

Missing image

You, My Keenest Art

Sonnet I

With dignity thy surest art of prose,
could in effect be finely written words
of love, that not to mention more of those
I give, will eagerness lure afterwards.
Boldness would be camouflauged in slight,
demurs of insignificance I dwell
the mystery surrounding this delight
and uncompared with those you would rebel.
In honest truth there will be much disguise,
Like hiding all the love I have to give
prepared to watch whilst you my lovely eyes
shall peer and with an honest truth, forgive.
For now, whilst the enclosure of the mind,
concede I have been blessed without your kind.

Distant Love

Sonnet II

I lead you not temptation of transfer,
such rivalry, my longing for has chased
with options to concur it such, like haste

auspicious manner, time, I surely baste.

Forewarned by indiscretion, feelings are

apparel by conviction, soothings came

complete like any love charm, though a star

may further bring us closer, though the same.

I duly have to thee, compare you well,

with attributes my lowly class can show,

a dormant, more efficient kind of beau

allow you to the door without farewell.

The invite needs to separate the mood,

far gentle than the ones I should include.

More Smitten Than Before

Sonnet  III

Have slunk into the warmth of mere regards
with men, whom fond affection for you seeks
and yet, not lost for words, the smaller shards
convince me that they pierce through trend techniques.
A modern day transfixt to troubadour,
has murmoured such endearments barely hatched,
that words alone shall mimic the allure,
they've practiced yet too soon become detached.
I open hearts for preferences to soul,
which trade awareness through until one day,
Accept it that to token myself whole
wil't never disavow intentions sway.
Where love has gripped a heart pledge to explore
I feel non-touched more smitten than before.

Whilst Beauty Sleeps
Sonnet IV

First oft, if sideways glance has signified,
attention to elusive pass by states
sees surely, that one second of it died,
before she turns again thus conjugates,
a bearing, I exist, if not for more,
Containing smiles forelorn to one accept
that turmoil shyly plays - not to ignore
more suffering with my worship wildly swept.
Approach that through awareness beauty steeped,
in envy from a mans's eye point of view
shall focus, unlike them adorned and heaped
with praise that shows us holding hands imbue.
Where eye to eye, does lovingly invite,
the Everest, our reading souls would write.

Freely To Acceptance
Sonnet V

The visual first love options mingle trade,
where less than five mere seconds of it rides
on laughter, not intelligent degrade
whose practices that cannot thus provide,
Intentions weak on promises for more,
though freely to acceptence, thwart it sings
the spirited but featureless adore,
of numbing the effect the outcome brings.
An edge to this prevade has brought us near,
from this obscurity, that just by chance
became the notice of, not disappear,
but stand the end of time as pure romance.
Longevity shall grace the faith of some,
as long as we're together, both become.

Love at Arm's Length

Sonnet VI

Just touch, and if the grace of God be known,
should tenderness to reach our souls desire
appendage reaching out, please raise them higher
the invitation blossoms, love has grown.
To greet the said sensation touching palms
could be that fingertips have found a way,
combining two as one and to this day
I feel the soft sensation stroking arms.
How eagerly the warmth of one embrace,
slide easily, intention to the feel
for distance cannot be, I want to trace
the wishes unobtained for your appeal.
My treasured words of telling you at length
that patience can but promise us new strength.

Our First Kiss

Sonnet VII

If not for thy to quiver do ye kiss,
so beautifully, like the rose, fulfill,
intrigued to say, I yearn you while, until
a moment long enthrals to passion bliss.
Caress, that mighty noble Lord, who pleads
the tenderness, from holding his desire,
Remember! sharing ecstacy's transpire
I quiver, though a trembling rose concedes.
Before the final throws, desire shall own,
the bliss,  to passion this emphatic state
wellbeing yearns to mention it sedate,

for I, too tender, need not now postpone.

Why tremble when caressing souls like this,

the ecstacy explored from our first kiss.

Heart of Brevity

Sonnet VIII

Let it be known that naissance is of late
significant that this longevity
shall live as long as these words shall donate
Affairs of the heart in their brevity,
Not a thought nor a whim should a thief
though if renditions are morbid as bleak
fully aware that due to mere relief;
in as much that if as old as antique
Thou hast with heart in this old oak of thine.
Lest not we forget the marriage of will,
though it is fixt that the next birth of time
should the shroud of an existence so thrill.
Could those legions who've augmented claim
Mediocrity, forsakens his name.

Fruition of Worth

Sonnet IX

Hast paraphrased a psalm though as a chime
which has altered this, the scenery as such
therefore proceeding with his life and time
Can bring, so it appears, a Shakespeare touch
this versions up till now have been bestowed,
though this upon suspicion how we grieve
protected by the way we read each ode
Like any mistress decoy, should she leave.
That death be the upheaval from this urge
of beneficials openly seduced,
For future ventures death within a surge
that loving brought, existence introduced.
Fruition, in that acorns reimburse
The moving apparitions plays rehearse.

Warmth Convergence

Sonnet X

The warmth converging over to you now,
denies that not a drop of it shall leave
as hearts have done in merriment conceive,
one's sanity to lose it or allow:
Contained in words the overture from source
has filled a sigh and sent it on a breeze,
whilst tempests urge it shudder no remorse
and neither shall they pardon your release.
I hear the thoughts surrounding you the next
whoever sends committal like I've owned
hath sworn a thousand words which now protects
the sanctuary paradise postponed.
Whilst perishing the thought it could have lost,

such yearnings have accepted them embossed.

Within Us, Heaven Waits

Sonnet XI

Believe in me that trust shall be a part,
Of every word I say and mood you show
My actions will enable you to know,
That loyalty for me, be love at heart.
Desire me for all the things unseen,
For beauty can decieve and this denied
Contains those magic moments you have cried,
Your feelings are adored my beauty queen.
Ignore the smile for happiness inside,
Is more important reaching like you do
My understanding is, that I am you;
And in return, for each we shall provide.

How godly does this feel of everyday,

become so heavenly, the soul's bouquet.

Transferring All MY Love

Sonnet XII

Deliver me the goods for welcomes home,
And in return the welcome home shall reach
A closeness that indeed can claim the breech,
Of souls that one on one can come from.
Whilst adoration moves me to content,
It leaves me with those feelings dying has
And whilst my dear, this love inspires alas,
It breathes along on drifts of heaven sent

A moment longer breathes on this assume

transferring all the love and details stored

Amera, have you not forgot, perfume

consists of everything in you adored.

Transferring all my love is all there is,

to further this enchantment, our abyss.

Whence Upon I Go

Sonnet XIII

Whence upon I go, you follow thee,

acceptance is far more than death can name

my dear, if I should die before you free

the only once of solitude to claim.

Contained from weariness on my adore

of you a love that shows some how survive

content that if assure thee once before,

that death hath promised both, we shall survive.

Content to clutch the honour we have had

in retrospect, in low times as on high

torment may be by issue very sad,

yet all I say is this, it's not goodbye!

For thy, the kingdom of the soul is thine,

more worthy than the hopes our lives design.

Eternal, Thee Awoken

Sonnet XIV

Loosley had my dreams from last night's sleep,

been interupting those whose drift away

were often meant whilst wide awake should peep

from keeping dread, thy from love's decay;

I reckon by absorbing your caress,

The warmth of longing in your arms much more

cannot be such, to hugging less

a sleepless night with daydreams to suppress

Indulge to wonder why, whilst both apart,

the other strives to contemplate desire

by leading you with dreams to your sweet heart,

Eternal, thee awoken knows how far,

a love that has since shared a shooting star.

Adorned to Exposure

Sonnet XV

With ease one's serenade to juxtapose,

are essences so pure like nakedness

discovered curves, appenditures arose

the slowly touch adorns to wild caress.

So softly do the ripples of suspect-

in limits that so tender, reach the next,

art alone can sensitively perfect

makes loveing you this heavenly perplexed.

concocts the senses smotth to taking heed

when holding the desire greets skin to skin

the magical illusion turns to need,

defines the moment whilst the pledge was in.

It seems that when enchantment senses bare,

Oblivion at all times feels like a prayer.

Loves Longing For

Sonnet XIV

With undulating guidance love can vouch

a worth, where idle times explain them woes

be added to the loveliness it'd pose

against the etch devine of a cosy couch.

Whence lovelorn dult most encroached uopn,

'Tis weary, yet with time, doth credit for

togetherness be lost in thee adore,

aroma charms enchantment from  reborn

It renews from the remnants worthy be,

a lineage to conceive it mystery,

which chose a lifetime for it all to rise.

If love were found to be the fastest cause,

for break up, to prevent it, patience 'twas.

Ghazal of Love

Sonnet XVII

How intricate we've blessed our looking at,
each other like a fresh resounding joy.
From each, that we enthuse us having sprung
the moment ours that many more shall cure.
Along the ventured paths to one domain,
by having love remained shall see it pure.
For having found it once, I should announce
that finding it a second time shall stand.
Remain the same before too soon it bleeds,
with ill received temptation like it bit.
Would enter for the last time blindly led,
returned with nothing more than we'd submit.
Our loyalties are tied and non such breadth,
shall leave the said vicinity until death.

Adorned to Exposure

Sonnet XVIII

With ease one's serenade to juxtapose,
Are essences so pure like nakedness
Discovered curves, appenditures arose
The slowly touch adorns to wild caress.
So softly, do the ripples of suspect-
Do limits that so slender reach the next,
Which art alone, can sensitive perfect
Makes loving you this heavenly perplexed.
Concocts the senses smooth to taking heed
When hold of a desire greets skin to skin,
The magical illusion turns to need,
Defined the moment when the pledge was in.
It seems that when enchantment sense us bare,
Oblivion at times felt like a prayer.

Obsession

Sonnet XIX

I do include with interest, loving you,
Shall pacify lost love as gaining back
Requires to do, relinquish what I lack,
I'll start again by writing this review.
Not knowing when to stop or to begin,
Request so many times, if you had stayed
A more than worthy note to serenade
An orchestra that pleads with violin.
I constantly believe that while fulfil,
Establishes obsession as the scale
That silently accepting no avail;
So many tiny chances hoped for still.
And while obsession tangles with a song
The chorus will provide it to prolong.

Dreams, Just Moments Long

Sonnet XX

Contentment of the passive passings by

why dreams begin my thinking of the there

besides! The past prevails with mimicry

depictiong all the laughter one may share

I smooth out silk sensations with a glove,

above, convenes the masterly of breath

secluded by enhancements flow from death

my longing to conceal it shows, thereof!

My ris of waking up shall leave despair,

as if it never happened - for replaced

the wanton of the same and yet with care

is one combined denying it was haste.

Returning to the sheets of having boast

a lift time with the one I love the most.

Calm Before the Storm

Sonnet XXI

Eureka has disguised the broadest sense,
That nature in it's true enquiry feels
Us having seen the light that no pretence
Insist it be too late the fate it seals.

And if this human form were otherwise,
A battle with the forces, nature lost
Then what we have in common as is thrice
When everyone of those whose paths we've crossed.

It proves to me that nature has a plan,
Most ardently a thorough way to deal
With every known accountancy, like man
Who thrives on broken promises for real.
While nature gives us things we can enjoy,
It takes for granted calm as the decoy.

Romantic Night In

Sonnet XXII

How bold revival leaves us both at home,

to scavenge the refridgerator store,

as gin and vermouth soothes the ice galore

Martinis' clink to toast ones connoisseur.

Whilst, 'sexual healing', sung by Marvin Gaye,

has repercussions soaking up romance;

canoodle with me, one more time I say,

I'm sure there's plenty time for us to dance.

With alcohol your beast it's safe to drink,

no place to leave, get killed or feeling bad,

to rearrange your travel makes me think,

for cosy nights shall rearrange this pad.

Could nightclubs stooped in jealousy's outrage

Be leaving them behind for home to stage.

How Close to Dreams We Are

Sonnet XXIII

How mellow does one value it their own,

romance shall opens portals to those dreams,

where neither can more love be trod alone

together in the midst of those it seems.

To cherish you the part of me that weeps,

auspicious to the inner depths of peace

I say awake my love, to that which keeps

the pleasures from a hug my golden fleece.

Our hands are clasped in raptures of delight

to forage first in comfort from the one

who pleasures us the most during the night

then dreams indeed come true our quest be won.

I cannot vouch our close to dreams we are,

just hold on tight it cannot be too far.

           Mere Attribute - Sonnet XXXVII

There was defined mention from modesty;

elopement had been offered by resource

it merely jeopardised what honesty,

was left,. A ramble roused, - alone of course.

Dismounted by the urge of recommence,

amidst where eager ears and eyes were lit

by all this, awe surrendered with suspense

intrigued with living daylights, to admit.

If honesty devoured for beauty's sakes,

would hollow out a benchmark to invent,

A listening device to one's mistakes

voice would ascertain a lovely accent.

American, that twang of divulge bold,

to whom a smitten gesture would unfold.

           Believing Eyes - Sonnet XXXVIII

O' having missed for nothing had I gazed;

Turning would have seen her eyes for thine;

If beauty wore as much by interest raised

I have no doubt it would, such love entwine.

If land had irrigated eyes such awe,

the fast removing remnants seek for ease

would pass and I removing tears deplore,

a second glance for asking would you please.

Perhaps, if I again had traipsed this far;

to mention leaving out, the sand storms task,

of filter making dreams like this bizarre

then torrid acts of gross disdain would mask.

I often feel that twirling scenes were meant,

to mesmerise my needs for circumvent.

Tweedle in a Play Back - Sonnet XXXIX

If groomed to persevere whence having done;

from what I've known before, such passing by

would follow on from whence this path begun,

then seeking dreams would elevate then high.

Ye seek compare thy witness from each  mound;

enlighten me, should fate be summons drawn

towards the regions, once by sand be ground

explore! For heavens sake! Deplore till dawn!

A camel's height may intrigue further this,

I have much faith in it, than lay of odds

whom anything from which, I ask, should miss,

from shielding eyes should I be asking Gods?

If sense of duty bound proceeds with guide

then loving her this much, should fate decide.

Gauge to the Beautiful Sunsets - Sonnet XXXX

In shadows deepest hope dissolved 'twas thwart,

to mention her by name aspired long days

as if by now it strengthens more by fault,

the sun has lowered, night should ease delays.

I'll not concede to anything discrete,

as options such disasters proven lead

one lover to the other, should we meet

be wisely reconsidered, not by plead.

nor maybe such, the mirage favoured test

contends, although from both of us, deny

as far as women go,  she was the best

to swoon anticipation  should it lie.

Assured my having seen this beauty rage,

I ask again if nothing else could gauge?

Under the Weather - Sonnet CMXIV

On beaufont scale, from whence no versions play
Decieve  the Warbl'st weave emotions still,
Thou sternest ache concern, a weak heart will,
Which leads to this vocation harsh what may,
Hence fragile claim is frozen hence dismay,
From first which chose when socialising till,
Pretends that while success hath gained, it will
Have linkt it to this wilting bloom bouquet,
How seen, the careless form of trait
Corrupt thine eyes foretell thee as to why:

As thou from this defeat to form sedate.
For thy relief; who hadst for reasons soon,
Deceived themselves the Love call they believe,
Both common cold and bronchial have withdrawn.

More Than Likely - Sonnet CMXLV

Thy truth's own dowries, wage upon the lies
That aggravate the ones that closer now,
Become, when trust itself has by disguise
Inherited what twisted words allow.
A secondment that chanced again new faith
T'was needed once and simply there to take,
But hollows out to each known scorn we chafe
Like telling tales, in turn, one more mistake.
The eyes which have by now are looking down
Too dismally that conscience would you say
Be showing us more worthy ones, to frown
Which may all go un-noticed till one day.
If silence stole a fortune of good peace,
Then thoughts are more than likely doing this.

Confessions of Philandering - Sonnet CMXLIV

How mountebank, thy residual exclaims,

completements thus hast evenings' required

that gentlemen, prefer via their names,

unheard of, yet include your most desired.

I famish a bequeath though heed thy wealth,

to have me strain the wagers of my needs

correcting what denies my state of health

my having once made choice from dirty deeds.

Contained in private thoughts are well aware,

from those who have by right the need for proof,

That I, who self ashamedly declare,

on bringing down thy kinfolk with this truth.

I do believe where falsehood would for long,

Be detriment to standing, doing wrong.

    Excellant.

How can I comment on this... Perhaps one at a time, and perhaps not since it's so wonderfully long. I love how playful you are with the shy passionate love in this set of sonnets. How is it that you managed to write such a piece. It rivals Shakespeare himself.

I must admit I didn't quite know what to expect when I clicked on a poet pretentious enough to adopt the name of our great bard but I was pleasantly surprised. This is rather excellent, well done to you, you could indeed be the great scribe reincarnate!

As to the sonnets, they are gorgeous of course. It is every womans dream I think to have something like this written just for her. Writing that enculcates tiny tidbits that only the two can understand. Hidden jokes ... as to the revealing your identity thing. Kind of corny and it filled me with fear. I took a peek at your avatar and thought to myself: "from my experience so far, most of the really great poets on here are old, not so good looking and almost never use their real picture. LOL. So whoever you are, you can write a hell of a sonnet!

    Conclusive

lol i think we have a winner already. This is one of the most impressive things i have seen on this website so far, and there are so many talented people. It reminds me of Geoffrey Chaucers Canterbury Tales, but obviously your sonnets are better than that lol.
You must dedicate so much of your time to these sonnets and thats what gives them meaning, they feel so true because you can hear the meaning and effort ringing out throughout them. My favourite has to be Sonnet X, Warmth Convergence, it is so epic and i really got involved at this point. I can't in any right offer any critisism because i feel like a novice lol. I hope people remember this for years and years.

This is a massive effort and I’m so very impressed, This is like putting a Lion up against a flock of sheep. I never expected an epic of English and Petrarchan Sonnets. Each carries a tone of its own and a message of passion and love. I am so very impressed and humbled that you would pen this for my contest. Thank you! I would be thrilled with a dozen roses but to receive a dozen sonnets has me ecstatic. You mentioned that you would reveal your identity at the end of the contest and I’m going to hold you to it, I just have to know more about you.

    Love,
