Scampering of tiny feet has passed
into children, strong and grown
on their way to parenthood of their own,
the house feels empty and chilled,
love used to fill walls, forever memories
memories go on, to happy times
giggled and charmed en-stilled in heart
yet loneliness of family seems so wrong,
but what do I hear, a doorbell
and sunshine on my doorstep,
they have come for holidays
with love always filling my home.
