Diary of a Looser

Day 1: Born in Poverty...Tin Pan alley abusive alcoholic  Parents...

Day 2: Education ..limited to free only ..much time spent in arcade parlour

Day 3: Employment....Liqour store robbery and car theft

Day 4: Future...Limited life probably short...

Brick-stone windows stacked with human refuge
Screaming wife begging not to hit her again
Child silently sobs on back metal fire escape
Alleyway knife fights in gangland superiority
Teen on corner puts packet in pocket...dollar bill rolls
Police sirens screaming ...feet echo down dark alleyway
Body lying on ground in pool of red ebbs life

Crime scene investigations ..keep mouth shut
Corruption and collusion aide to infinite delusion
He smiles as he didn't get caught..this time
Taking risks that one day may lose a life
Cardboard homelands Old lady pram-loads of newspaper
Needlework floorboards in crack-house blue rap
Darkness descending on sad lives never-ending

Singing Salvos with Bass drums and Tubas
Onward Christian soldiers choir singing
War-Cry newspapers in Bars and dives
This place is a war-zone for Innocent corruption
The vulnerable die mercifully quickly
Human degradation and sexual predation
A day in the life of a fully fledged Looser

We blame them and hate them ..for being that way
For we are not the bleeding heart brigade
And these bums just lay around and don't get a job
No I'm not gunna lend yah a few bob
You'll only spend it on drugs or Grog
Dead mothers callin and you uncontrollably sob

You end up in jail for the rest of your life
You were destined to be here anyway
Society will teach yah respect through corporal punishment
Get cha breakin rocks and diggin ditches
Maybe  sewing the winners workin britches
Now we will make yah do good (or maybe break yah)
Great life yousa when you are a real Looser
