Along the streets of Broadway
I thought I saw your face
Reflections from the passing cars
Distorted every space
And I thought of us
Old newspapers washed away
Clogging the gutters and the drains
In this palace of broken dreams
I guess it's all the same
Here, off broadway
And the things that kept us going
Were the things we locked away inside
Never to see the light of day
Where we often hide
And time runs off like the icy rain
That fills the gutters
Then down the drain
It's written here in colored lights
Here, off Broadway
Down here, off Broadway
Have I forgotten so much so soon?
That I don't know which way is up
Write me soon I'm in this play of words
Here down town, off Broadway
Here, off Broadway
Caught unawares, off Broadway

My two favorite parts. I can relate to those the most but this poem is truly great. I really enjoyed reading it. Its unlike any other I've read so far. Very refreshing.

This is very creative and I love the wording - it flows smoothly - best of luck in the contest
