So parched and dry,
a heart left alone,
deprived of all the loving,
that it was never shown.
Years click by ever drier,
as the hopes all slip away,
the sands sift in time,
for another lonely day.
Everyone deserves love,
despite what others may think,
the experts give their advice,
as they pour another drink.
Love can wet the driest sands,
as it steps right on through,
all of those who say they care,
in all of the affairs of you.

That feeling of lonely hours days weeks and years.
Spread across the page, its the wishes longed for and yet we all deserve love
and to be loved.
A sad yet poignant piece
Best wishes
