Pink dress curly long hair
Listening to country music
In the living room with my grandpa by my side
He starts to get up and takes my hands
"Can I have this dance?" my grandpa asked aloud
"Yes, can you make me dance like grandma and you do?"
with a smile wrapped around his face
He took me in his arms and stood me on his feet
"Follow me."
We danced as the music played
I felt as though I was gliding across the floor
Yet, Now I know I was dancing instead of walking in my grandpa's shoes.
Author notes
This is the very first thing I remember I was about 2 when my Grandpa took me on the tops of his feet and started making me dance across the floor like him and my grandma do

a dance with Grandpa... nice memory for a young lady of two.

What a beautiful memory. Very touching and I like the details. So realistic and nice to have this good relationship with your grandfather.
Thank you for entering my contest.
