If theres a ladder to heaven
Ill take steps up to three
To be with my son stephen
Who waits there for me
If theres a ladder to heaven
There is none i have found
It wont stop me searching
As i stay firm on this ground
Ill look in the meadows
In between trees
Over the mountains
And even the seas
If a ladder from heaven
Tuely exist ill find it
I swear i promise you this
Ill crawl into ditches
Jump over walls
Run into nettles
You just bring it on
For i will be ready
If that day should arrive
If i found that ladder
To be with my child
Author notes
