Always flapping her wings, waiting to fly,
For that was where she wanted to be.
And one day she was set free.
The wind swept her off her feet,
Soon Venus and Neptune she would meet.
Suddenly, she was the one to be,
But she had forgotten about little old me.
She now owned the stars.
Her ego turned bigger than Mars.
The Milky Way was her dance floor.
And I began to see I knew her no more.
Flying past the heavens and beyond
Plain old Earth just made her yawn.
Now she had to be the best
But soon she would be put to the test.
Saturn lost its rings,
And suddenly she was without wings,
Falling out of the Milky Way,
Right back down into today.
The Drops of Jupiter evaporated from her hair.
Someone, it seems, had stolen her flair.
The moon closed its door to her,
Her future then became unsure.
But someone was still there,
Waiting in the wings.
Someone who didn't care,
About all those bad things.
I held out my hand,
To prove the existense of something that had to end.
I held out my hand
To prove that the only thing that can forgive you of all,
Is a friend.

9) Martin Luther King, jr.:
We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.

Oh I really loved this it was so neat you really did an excellent job at portraying the song in your own way. I found it an emotional journey to read and oh just so stylish. I think it is perfect the way it is and wouldn't change a thing.

ok, so i am trying to be more critical...so, great job! this was so clever! i love the play the song you did and made it into a beautiful story!
The Drops of Jupiter evaporated from her hair.
Someone, it seems, had stolen her flair.
I love those lines especially!
My only complaint is that in some places it didn't flow quite right! other than that it was a beautiful poem and i also loved the background :-)!
