One very simple phrase
Meant everything to you
I saw through loves sweet haze
Without ever meaning to
You said those words to me
I didn’t know how to feel
Perhaps it was too early
To see if it was real
Confusion reigned upon my heart
While I tried to suss you out
I saw as I should have at the start
When I was clouded by my doubt
I told you how I felt
Those words, they came
Finally to my throat
And I know you feel the same

I realised how I felt (I know men are meant to be slow...) My inspiration comes from my failure to identify just what I felt for a girl I'd know for a week, until I realised it was the first drops of love. sickly I know!!!

its funny how so many are in love but not always express it in the same way and how there are so many love themed pieces and can still find something new

It's true! love is such an easy or complicated aspect of life to write about... So easy to express, so hard to pluck up the courage... I feel another poem coming along!!! Thanks very much for the comment!
