Step By Step

Come sleep my son at daylight's end,
rest your head upon this stone.
Let your mind wander free, dream,
journey far into vast unknown.

Such visions race in your mind,
stairway rises high in the sky.
Reach, wind through the clouds,
higher then where birds can fly.

Angels of God, upon the stairs,
many of them were ascending.
Ladder ends at Heaven's door,
many were also descending.

God  reveals that soon one day,
heirs will own the promised land.
Given to many of his offspring,
this is God's will and command.

We see Jesus Christ as the ladder,
connects us with God on Earth,
To help find relationships lost,
through our sin and find worth.

Redeems us to live in Heaven,
with eternity He shall please us.
All are justified by faith,
given peace through Jesus.

What a wonderful lift for those waiting God's arrival. The time for our salvation is now, the judgement is close at hand with Jesus to sort the chaft from the grain. Good luck with the contest.
