Hay,hay,hay,
I eat it every day
while that mangy dog
gets fed like some primo hog
and always gets everything his way.
It's time for change
up on this here range
and this is how it goes,
rub my belly, scratch my ears,
smooches on the tip of my nose.
Grab me a snack
you better hurry back
because I intend to get fed,
but I gotta say it's gettin' cold
and for now I'm just playing dead!

ROFLMAO..and they say horses are clever..... I can imagine him thinking these thoughts for sure. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your most humerous poem. thankyou for the smiles.
I thought that poor horse looked frozen stiff laying there.

hahahaha.....loved it!
actually there are some horses who do like their belly's
rubbed...but not too many....mine you use to nip...
if you touched her belly!
we all roll over on our belly's for a great poetic rub!
loved your poem!
thanks for the laughter!

An interesting take on the picture--makes you wonder, just scratching his back? Good timing on the part of the photographer whatever the case may have been.
