Frustration

Why do most medicines taste so vile
You feel you’d rather run a mile
While things that tempt your sweet taste buds
Healthwise just don’t deliver the goods
Though sometimes you give your heart and soul
Yet find you can’t achieve your goal
Yet in life in every step you take
You find it’s so easy to make a mistake
Figuratively speaking you fall down life’s big hole
Turn round and find the one way out
Is up a greasy pole

    This is very interesting

It's is a slippery slope.. that you have to climb. But apparently it is all charactor building...so they say. I have a poem called "Down" and it mentions the struggle up the slope near the end.

If you had put sweet tasting foods, it would have rhymed better with goods.

    or

    While the sweeter tempting food,
Healthwise does not do us good

Anyway just a thought. Not sure that sounds right anyway.

Nicely written anyway. Food for thought.

This is an interesting poem I like the medicine to open it - very true sentiments there - I hate going to the doctor in case he gives me something yuck to take I also liked the greasy pole at the ending - I imagine that it would be futile trying to use that as a way out! Nice read

    Thank you for entering
