The Four Seasons

From Winter…

Strong, cool rush of wind
Rustles with a breathless hiss
Supple bamboos sway
With fluidity and ease,
Bowing down in acceptance

To Spring…

Though the meadows wilt
And cherries turn to purple
Only time to wait
Nascent blooms will slowly grow
Anew in springtime morning

To Summer…

A seagull flies down,
Gliding towards the seaside
Enjoying the warmth,
Surfers slither on the waves
Under the dazzling sunbeams

Then Fall…

Withered foliage
Fall to the earth in cadence
A moment in time
Sequence of changing colors
From silver, jade, gold to bronze

A summer, with the voice of an artist,
you record the words, the tanka form
bowing to you as you employ it superbly!

    Loving each description, your choices,
    your examples.

      Thanks, Mumsy!

      Just "experimenting," again.

I've been reading the types of poetry and trying to do one verse for each... Now, I'm currently doing the ACROSTIC Form...

I will make a collection of those and keep them in my Love Notes Diary....
