Swirling around me,
In waves of glass,
This wind of silver,
Carries me light.
Atoning my thoughts,
Cradling my stone body,
Giving warmth to that cold,
Filling me with dreams untold.
Shooting stars, I make my wish,
To be free from my torments,
Living for me and breathing for them,
Just to laugh and never to cry.
For filling my lungs with that cool air,
Cleared my head for just a while,
Let me see the things that I have,
Spilled upon me the things I want.
As I stare blankly at the black sea,
Undulating memories in the back of my mind,
I feel more free than I ever have,
Knowing that you are all still there.
Though I am pained by the past,
I know it grows old,
Things meant to happen,
Leaving stories untold.
But as I glance around,
I think to myself for just one moment,
How perfect it is to just be able,
To simply....breathe.
