Stuffed deep inside the sweetest light is darkness of a kind
That only can be caused by an obsessed despairing mind.
A dark and chilling void of a gigantic scope and size
Which sees the bedlam of the world through pain’s abysmal eyes.
I stood and faced this tragedy with open arms and yet
A good arms length away was just as close as I could get.
Two small eyes fixed upon me filled with dread anxiety,
A terrified and starving child that drained my energy.
The Goddess waved her finger so I shut the window tight,
Visualized protection for myself of golden light.
I swallowed then the laughing eye, inhaled it to my toe
Then gently told abysmal eyes that it was time to go.
Inside my mind I saw a most illuminating sight,
The darkness of abysmal eyes was drawn into a light.
The anger and the pain dissolved and love remembered full.
Now deep inside the sweetest light shines something beautiful.

Beautiful, heart-wrenching, could be for a million of us on this lowly planet.
This spoke volumes to me, as I'm sure it did to many.
One of your most insighful poems ever.
I adored it.
