'Do you want to go fast?'
'Yes!' I yell over the biting air
'Hold on!'
I flip my visor down
Tighten my hold
The engine revs beneath me
The wind tries to pull me from my seat
I cling yet tighter
I peek over my friend's shoulder
Watching the speedometer climb
85....90....95....100....110
We're flying between cars
The night air freezing our skin
I'm laughing with exhilaration
Heart pounding
Hands and arms frozen
But I don't care
This is like flying
Off the interstate
Slowing down
I relax a bit
'Remember what you wanted to do?'
'What?'
'Hold on...'
He finds the balance point
Takes his hands off the handlebars and spreads his arms
I laugh, but don't move
He reaches back down and takes my hands off the tank
Lifts my arms so I'm ready for takeoff
I feel no fear
Just the thrill of flight
