Serenity caresses my ever prevalent skin,
soles submerged among timid waters-
A single droplet hangs from a crying willow,
its tranquil tears invisible to the morning rain.
Orbs twinkle to the midnight embrace like sapphires,
dancing with melancholy stars and drunken fireflies-
They flicker along, pausing aglow upon every other waterbed,
lilies open to the zen mists of dawn.
Cedar impressions flow up my sunken spine,
the slosh of waves crashing under each sleepy board-
No croaks about the pads, no chirps intertwined in the reeds,
no white noise to cover up natural beauty.
She shimmers atop the quake,
enlightening the harvest, yet brooding nonchalently-
Her face grins towards the horizon,
blanketing the moon's elegance upon her sleep.
A moment of peace lingers in all of us.
