The moment is a ghost, unproven
Is it an illusion?
Something of the closeness is haunting
Her crossed legs are underneath a shady shield
It's shared by the heat of his
mind
at
The end of her stinging cells
It's like two hearts messily scribbled in
The sealed and locked up books of greater beings
Intertwining them in a mysterious fate
Titled obsessive
But now is her stuttering realization
At the touch of Love, everyone becomes a poet, she'd learned
She studies the twirling butterflies dancing in his
Wandering and
wondering
eyes
Uneven thoughts swim through
electric
minds
And she is still with her shade, but she imagines herself fumbling
She'd fumble around another
An attraction now faded
But this forbidden
Love
was subtle
It was unwarned, unexpected, but unalarmed
And the words spoken and emotions delivered
Were just a phantom passing through her young face
Caressing her rough cheeks
She hadn't even comprehended for it was
No longer her
brain connecting
Now her
Heart
was contaminated
And the speculation can only be described
As watching a lilac spurt straight out of the grass
And be born and be smiling and shining in its new oxygen
And the sun flowers, and morning glories, and violets, and daffodils
Ease their way to the surface
As a bare footed child lies there, and lives there
Within it's colorful life!
And the people
she's
met and the creatures she's feared
That have affected her
every
next
step
and
sound
are flying together, are circling within her capillaries
And singing and celebrating a festival
Of who knows what and where and how and when
Voluntary, but still, does she have a choice?
As she reaches near to a fascinating hand?
But
stops before it mystically
And rat a tats its drumming fingers,
in a dream
But in reality, it's silent and waiting
And that bare footed child is drowsy within the garden
And it is falling into some sweet tasting slumber
As some whispering choir takes its brush around the silky locks of
Seeing with your eyes
Shut
And she looks
back
and
back
As her eyelashes flutter away... dewdrops slipping away
And her moment is no longer a ghost

I really liked this poem up to the part about the "fascinating hand." After that point I was a little lost as I couldn't connect with what I had felt in the part I read before. Very good write; loved the imagery of "two hearts messily scribbled in
The sealed and locked up books of greater beings/Intertwining them in a mysterious fate."

This is a very good write, deeply felt words in every line.
Thank you for entering it in the contest
