Silver lining of the stars,
Used to penetrate my soul,
a delicate lullaby soft and sweet,
led me to believe so many things.
All is blocked now,
Dark thoughts seem to print themselves
Into a crack in my brain,
A crack,
That loving you has caused.
It used to be so easy,
Watching water coloring the sand,
Laughing while drinking in the blue sea.
Tears shaped into an intercoastal highway,
Like a looking glass,
where none is looking back.
Breath in this ciggerete,
Try to numb the pain,
with a gin and tonic,
One more on the way.
You left me sitting,
in my love lorn worn out ways,
in an empty hotel,
Dreaming of what could be,
and what never will.
