The Devil In Love

satan swings into a stained glass window
shards of a beginning splash to the salty sea
cries of mercifulness erupt from one not alive
not dead
just in between
a gospel choir prays over a gothic cradle
they bellow their songs of life
and death
while velvet blood drops
find themselves
falling deep into a silent rosary
and the sad red of it all creates
an innocent untouched apple
hanging teasingly on a beautiful and fascinating tree
in the garden of eden
where god had not been to witness humanity
and that choir hadn't dared to touch
that forbidden sheet of music
of what's in between
and satan smiles
that sweet, sinful smile
and serenades over his graceful work
his rebellious children
