It was just another high school
What seemed like just another day
Tuesday , April 20, 1999
11.19am, two sick shadows armed to the teeth
Long Trench-coats with Guns
Nobody thought it could ever happen
But sadly it did
What was festering in a sick mind
Became no longer hid
In fields of Young flowers
Knowledge grew and nurtured by the staff
Columbine was a beautiful place
But darkness came to play
With guns blazing and buzzing minds
Evil took 22 innocent lives
And suicide helped two escape their fate
No laughing in the classrooms
No running in the halls
No sitting on the grassy lawns
For death had come to call
Still I hear sad parents sob and cry
One question screams to this very day..
Why?
Now 23 were wounded and 22 were killed
That fateful day in Denver
When senseless violence had its bloody fill
Two had faded from the scene of their Senseless crime
Society was loosing all its will
And decency in decline
Twas said that guns were too easy to get
and violent movies were the real threat
But all I hear are excuses
And nothing to stop another
Has anyone really done anything just yet
Please stop our children dying..
I do not have the answers
But I feel a deep sadness and regret
One day There'll another Columbine
A fast paced world of envy
For sadness and depression is on the increase
And sad evil minds the many
Are giving what they get
