Moonlight Sonata

As I watch you there
I sigh at your sweet smile
That I will never see in my direction.
I find joy in just watching your loving eyes
yet it is something I will never truly know.

I dream of you
holding out for everything that could be
its killing me
though maybe I will just wait
and hold on to your smile

though I can not look at him while it flashes across your face.
It is his and not mine.
It is a sad fate I hold
here waiting for your eyes to wash over mine.
Holding on to you is my one solem dream
a dream that will not come.

But I will be here should you ever change your mind.
My heart will always be turned to you.
You will never be alone like me.
I would save you from this world if you would let me.
I would hide you from anything that could harm you.
But it is not for me now to do.
It is for him.

    I think the beginning of this poem perfectly coincides with the song, the up beat in the beginning and heavy low melody leading on. Wonderfully written and thank u for the entry in the contest!
