With my lilac gown and midnight blue bouquet,
I walk down the longest 20 yards I've experienced yet.
Your smile so sincere, it lifts my spirits high -
that's when I remember why I'm standing here
I want to be with you until the day that I die.
Your tuxedo - white shirt, black trousers -
on the man who I will always treasure.
The hym of truth seems to go on forever -
and I'm blessed that I'm standing here,
being admired by this beautiful crowd.
Our eyes meet, our hearts intwine -
I am yours and darling, you are mine;
my father smiles and my mother cries
as the organ stops and all sit down,
this is when tears come to my eyes.
"Do you take this woman to be yours,
to love and to hold forever more?"
"I do," you say without hesitation
and I smile so brightly I fear I'll faint -
just stand there fixed in trepidation.
"This man to be my husband, I do."
my lips are wide and frothing truth.
"Then you are now man and wife
to have and to hold forever more -
just two souls into one special life."
We walk out and get our picture pose,
with friends and family, all that we know.
"I am so glad, you found her, son,"
your father speaks and my mother weeps -
"Oh what a daughter you have become."
Now this is the story of two people who become,
so intangled by love, they turn into just one.

"Now this is the story of two people who become,
so intangled by love, they turn into just one"
the ending really did make me sigh at this perfect romance.

Cute! Reminds me of a wedding I was just at last weekend. It was my cousins wedding! I liked your idea about two souls one heart. That's how I feel love is. Not the b.s couples say to each other 2 months into the relationship. Nice job
