Last minute costumes draped on

Halloween is here at last
Angels, kittens,and skeletons pass
Lions, tigers, and bears go by
Legions of trick-or-treaters hustle
Objectives set on how much to get
Wacky Wafers and Chocolates galore
Scurrying and gathering every house hit

Eventually the evening comes to an end
Voices echoing dye down and dissipate
