Spent three months in Hell,
Came out a killin' machine.
Forged in the fire o' the Carolina sun,
With Discipline and Spirit and
Vict'ries hard-won.
We can run a hundred miles with a hundred-pound pack;
And hit you just as sudden
as a heart attack.
Eagle, Globe and Anchor
Hangin' o'er my my breast;
Dissin' my Marine Corps
gets ya two to the chest.
Blood and Guts,
Hot Lead and Gore;
P.T. 'til we drop,
then beg for more.
Callin' cadence on a run,
Hear my motivated yell,
WE'RE GONNA SMOKE-CHECK THE DEVIL
AND TAKE OVER HELL!!!
Author notes
This is a running cadence that I came up with while I was at my MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) school. My dad served with the U.S. Army, and while I followed in his footsteps by joining the military, I went to the Marine Corps instead of the Army.
P.S. To the Reader: Marines are very motivated about being Marines, and even though I'm not the most moto Jarhead out there, I am occasionally very moto. This is one of those times. Please don't flame me.

My cousin went to the national guard, but I tried to get him forever to join the marines with me, I ended up going to college instead though. I respect the hell out of you for making it through basic.

I liked it. And you keep it up. Stay high with pride,
I do know a little about pride. Once many many years ago i earned and wore a Green Beret. I do think the Marines are great, I have had many friends in there. And of corse we pick at and harrass each other. But i'd stand back to back with any of them any day. And have in a few bar scrapes. hehe
Glad you liked my poem The Soldier. It was ment for all services. Should have called it "The Grunt".
Cause in the bush thats what we all are.
AND, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, GOD BLESS.
