chemical eruption.

she’s just barely sixteen
and she already struggles with finding her place.
boundaries are just limits
that need to be erased
and she’ll do anything to get what she wants.
music is more than life itself,
like a skeleton that holds up
everything that she has ever known.

she’s just a girl, that loves
the sound of the raindrops falling down, hard
on the ground is one of the simplest things
in life that she enjoys
because it makes her feel not alone in the world,
this loneliness caused by you who broke her heart.

the sound of the loudest thunder
and brightest lightning storm
is a realization that she’s only human,
and still insignificant to the entire world,
but to me she’s my second half
and I’ll always be there for her.
