I can see I'm not perfect
But that's all I really see
I'm holding a photograph
And drowning it in poetry
I can never let anything "just be"
I have to analyze everything
Until it's dead to me, but I get it
Just like you said it'd be, and I let it
People say pictures have a meaning and a purpose
And I can't let it go until I see each of these surface
People say sometimes we only see what we choose to see
Maybe that's why this never meant anything real to me
I can see I'm not perfect
But that's all I really see
I'm holding a photograph
And drowning it in poetry
I piece together the negatives and I thought I found myself
All the colors seem wrong, just like my life from what I can tell
Please tell me what you think

I think it's repetitive because he also writes in song form. I like this poem and I also like how you try to see all the different aspects of things.
